The day had been such a nice one this far. No stupid servants who had bothered him. No work. Just peace. Of course that wouldn't last. Eligos sighed and looked up as he heard a sound.

His door materialized itself and soon after it was opened. In came Sitri, moving like water as usually. But something was off. More edgy. The movements felt hard.

"We have a problem." Sitri said, the voice that came out was stern.

Behind the beautiful demon came Dantalion, his shifting appearance showed the same confusion as Eligos.

He quickly created two chairs for his guest and sat down himself.

"So what's the catastrophe?" he asked. He had never seen Sitri like this
before.

"Some high ranked demon had a child with a human."

"So?" Eligos got even more confused, now he even started to show it. Demons tended to have children with humans all the time.

"It's a girl."

"What?" His eyes got wide. "And she survived? How?!"

For some reason only girls ever inherited the demon's powers, however this was very unusual since they usually didn't survive the pregnancy.

Sitri just made a dismissive gesture with a hand.

"Doesn't matter. What matters is that she's alive and that we need to figure out how to deal with it."

"Well, we'll just deal with it the way we always have, get rid of her while she's still a baby." But as the words were uttered Eligos got a feeling that there was more to this. Sitri wasn't telling everything.

"She's twenty."

"She's... What?!" Eligos stood up and stared in disbelief at Sitri. "Who have been this reckless?! What foolish, stupid demon could possibly mess up this bad if he's so high ranked?!"

The silence that fell over the room was so thick you could almost feel it trying to run into your ears. Eligos looked over at Dantalion when the silence was broken by a snicker. The truth dawned on him and he sat down with a groan and leaned his head in his hands.

"Sitri... Did you do this...?" he asked, almost afraid of the answer.

"That may or may not be the case, but we still need to deal with this."

"Sitri!" Eligos glared at the other demon. "This is no small thing! This will destroy the reputation for both you and all your subordinates, and that means us too!"

Sitri stood up and towered over Eligos with an expression that could have been made of ice. In fact Eligos was almost sure that if he had touched the prince right now he would probably freeze his hand off for good. And demons could regenerate even bullets.

"Be careful with what you say, Eligos. Need I remind you that I'm a prince while you are a mere duke? My duke even."

He guessed that this wasn't the time to point out that his actual title was archduke.

Sitri stared at him a little while before sitting down again, the icy stare never leaving him.

"Eh..." Eligos cleared his throat. "So what are we going to do about this then? Are we going to just make her be the poor victim of some accident?"

"No. Actually this gets better. Apparently some angel managed to produce a child roughly the same age as this girl. Also a girl by the way and I guess their powers work the same as ours."

"How does that make anything better?"

"I think we can use this."

Suddenly Dantalion spoke up.

"You could have a point there."

"Of course I have", answered their prince but Dantalion didn't care.

"This could actually be fun, we just need to find the girl and teach her some of what we know. The angels would be torn to pieces trying to figure out how to deal with a demon hybrid on earth. The fact that they have their own angel girl just makes it better because then they have to chose between removing the only thing that can stop our girl, or they have to admit that one of them have made a mistake and will have to take responsibility for that."

A slow smirk spread across Eligos face while he listened to what Dantalion had to say.

"I think I like this idea."
